Week 2

And just like that, second week of the mtc is completed. Its crazy to think i've only been here for two weeks but at the same time it feels like this past week flew by so fast. I'm loving my district and my roommates so that helps with passing time. However some days it can be hard and feel like you've sort of lost all your momentum and that makes it hard to want to continue.

Unforunately this week I have been sick for pretty much the whole week. Or at least ever since Friday. It's not like an extreme sickness but I've just been conjested and sometimes wake up with a sore throat, starting to feel better though. This week we started full imersion which is basically when our teachers only speak spanish and were only aloud to speak spanish in class. I'm not going to lie sometimes it gets really annoying but at the same time I can tell it helps me learn spanish a lot faster. I know that my spanish is all going to go out the window when I get to Seattle but I'm still going to try to learn as much as possible before I get there.

Sunday was a very spiritual and emotional day for me. Every sunday we dedicate an hour and a half to personal study and this week I decided to study with a quetion. To my surprise my quetion was answered. I went in with the quetion, why did I get called to Seattle. However as I was reading in 2 Nephi 10:23 and it says "Therefore, cheer up your hearts, and remember that ye are free to act for yourselves---to chose the way of everlasting death or the way of eternal life." This hit me so hard because I realized that I chose this and that its so imporant that there are people in seattle who need a missionary to help them chose eternal life.

Funny story for the week... two of the Elders in my district decided they wanted someone to bring chipotle and drop it throuh the fence. However they didn't know a security  guard was eyeing them the whole time. So as they approached the fence to get the food, the security guard pulled up and talked to them for like 45 minutes about why they shouldn't be doing it. The crazy thing is they weren't even the ones who got in trouble for it, their companions were haha. Also Elder Lloyd during the devo on tuesday was singing in the choir and the camera was zoomed in on him for pretty much 10 seconds and it was pretty much just him and I couldn't stop dying laughing especially cuz he buzzed his head.

Overall a pretty solid week. Kind of getting ready to leave this place but I also know when it's time to leave its going to be really hard. I'm excited for the time I can speak spanish confidently but thats not anytime soon. I'll try my best to keep writing emails haha. See you all next week!
